Report on Research in Education | 31st July 2021 Saturday.
Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan’s Smt. Surajba College of Education organized a one-day interdisciplinary national webinar on 31st July 2021 at 10.00 am IST, via Zoom meet. The webinar was organized to give more information about the research in education and the new emerging trends in the field of education. The Guest speaker for the webinar was Dr. N. Kalai Arasi, Associate Professor N. K. T. National College of Education for Women and the programme coordinator for the webinar was Dr. Sunayana Kadle, Asst. Prof. G. S. B’s Smt. Surajba College of Education.
The webinar started with great enthusiasm and motivation. The event was hosted by Dr. Sunayana Kadle. The programme was inaugurated by Sarvadharama Prarthana to seek blessings of the almighty. The prayer was led by the B.Ed. students under the guidance of Dr. Pradnya Bhosekar and was followed by the University Song.
The prayer was followed by the lighting of the lamp digitally as a symbol of brightness and to officially start the webinar. This was followed by a brief welcome address by our I/C Principal Dr. Judy Grace Andrew.
Then the Honorable Speaker Dr. N. Kalai Arasi was introduced by Dr. Frances Vaidya, Asst. Prof. G. S. B. Smt. Surajba College of Education. The speaker
enlightened the students with her valuable words. She spoke about the trends in education, mixed research and various other researches carried out around the globe. She quoted some examples for better understanding of the concept and to provide a good learning experience to one and all. Furthermore, the webinar proceeded with the presentation of papers by various research scholars. There were 16 papers to be presented and therefore the meeting was divided into two breakout rooms with 8 participant each. The topics covered in the paper reading covered various aspects in the field of education and skills. The chairperson in group 1 was Dr. Savita Manchekar and in group 2 was Dr. Ratnaprabha Rajmane who guided all the research scholars and gave their valuable reflections on the papers. Following the paper presentations, Ms. Sabiha More, Asst. Prof. G. S. B. Smt. Surajba College of Education introduced the valedictory speaker Prof. Vibhuti Patel Former Prof. of TISS & SNDT and gave her a grand welcome. Then the programme coordinator Dr. Sunayana Kadle presented and read a brief report of the session.
Following the report reading, Prof. Vibhuti Patel further guided all the students with the minute essential details to be taken care of while preparing and presenting research papers. Prof. Priti Chandorkar then expressed gratitude to Prof. Vibhuti Patel for her valuable feedback and her precious time. The efforts of the students and teacher coordinators were encouraged and appreciated. Dr. Sunayana Kadle concluded the seminar with a vote of thanks and appreciation for the students for their whole hearted participation during the webinar She also thanked the guests for their valuable inputs, the webinar concluded with the National Anthem.
