Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan’s Smt. Surajba college of Education, conducted by the Indian Council of Basic Education, is a teacher education institution, founded by Late Shri Vajubhai Patel and Smt. Leelaben Patel on 2nd October 1969, the birth centenary of Mahatma Gandhi . This institution has completed 52 glorious years and has been committed to the cause of preparing teachers who would transform the society with ideals of Basic Education. Experiential Learning, Vocational Education and Research has been integral part of the curriculum that is designed, interwoven, integrated and implemented to bring the anticipated change in the learners.
All the activities are learner centred and based on Gandhian principles. Smt. Surajba College of Education, strives to equip students with the appropriate knowledge, competencies, habits, attitudes and values required to be good teachers and also good human beings.
Teachers are nation builders, I feel extremely privileged to be a part of its ongoing endeavour to create and provide nation builders to the society through quality teacher education that is holistic, humane, and self–reflective.
